So basically two recruiters reached out in the same week for two different departments at CareFirst. I did a quick phone screen with both. It turned out there were some internal hiccups, so I only ended up interviewing with one of the departments. The first day involved two one-hour meetings with the team, and then two 30-minute chats with the hiring manager and the VP of the department. I got called back the next week for more interviews. In that second round, I met with the other Project Manager in the department, and one of the managers from the business areas I'd be supporting. I also had another chat with the hiring manager. They offered me the job two days after that.

I got referred by a friend and was able to get an interview pretty quickly. It was done in a few rounds. First, I spoke with my potential boss, and then the next round was with her boss and some other team members. Everyone was really nice and made me feel welcome. It felt more like a chat than a formal interview.

The whole interview process went by fast and was efficient. Everything was done over web conferences and had three rounds in total. Some interviews were direct questions about how to do things with given scenarios. One interview was pretty long, lasting about an hour and a half.
