Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cardlytics.
Analyst
I applied online and then a recruiter reached out for a phone screen. After that, I had to take a timed SQL test online, it was easy/average. Then I had video calls with the manager and some team members.
- What are the best practices for handling missing data?
Analyst
Started with an HR phone screen about my interest and background. Then, had a 30-minute call with the hiring manager to go over my resume and experiences. After that, it was a 2-hour virtual onsite, mostly behavioral and experience-based questions. Unfortunately, I never heard back after the last round, which was pretty disappointing.
- How would you identify the ideal customer for a merchant?
Analyst
So, first there was a call with HR. Then a zoom call with the Hiring Manager. After that, there were three onsite virtual interviews. And then a presentation round. Pretty much all the interviews were about my thought process and how I generally solve problems.
- Can you walk me through your previous projects?
- Do you have experience with SQL?
- Tell me about your career aspirations.
