Customer Support Representative
The interview process was straightforward initially. I was contacted via email by HR, which led to a phone interview. Scheduling was efficient, and following that first call, I received an invitation for an in-person interview. This part got a bit messy. I arranged everything, but they took their time confirming the date, about four days later. On the interview day itself, it was rescheduled because multiple managers were sick. It was moved to later that same week, which I thought was fine. I wanted to be prepared. When the interview day arrived, I was supposed to meet with three managers. At the office, the front desk staff offered water and chatted, which was welcoming. I got a brief tour. The first manager I met was great; we discussed our backgrounds, I shared my information, and we talked about the company and the platforms/applications used daily for the role. It seemed to be going well. Then, he left, and two other managers came in. It became intense. These two ladies seemed disengaged and didn't seem impressed with my resume, questioning my unemployment history extensively. It felt very unproductive. I stayed composed and just answered their questions to get through it. I didn't feel welcomed, and I wondered what more they expected for an entry-level position. After their interrogation, they asked if I had questions. I only had one at that moment: about the daily responsibilities of the role. Their answer was brief, and I just wanted to leave. The initial conversation with the first manager was positive, but the subsequent meeting felt like an interrogation. I knew then that I wouldn't get the job. On Monday, I received a standard rejection email early in the morning, before most people would likely be in the office, given the hours I'd inquired about. So, this place gets a negative review.

Integrated Support Specialist
The HR business partner for CardConnect was really prompt in setting up both the initial phone interview and the subsequent in-person interview. I had the chance to meet with the HR representative face-to-face before talking with the hiring managers. After the interviews wrapped up, I was told they were still interviewing other candidates but would get back to me soon. I ended up waiting 8 days for any feedback, and they still hadn't made a decision. So, I followed up via email on August 28th. Just to clarify, my first interview was on August 4th. It's now September 5th, and I haven't heard back at all regarding my inquiries after the in-person interviews, not even a standard automated rejection. I did bring up some of the reviews from current and former employees on Glassdoor during the initial interview. Since I knew it was a smaller office environment, I wanted to be sure about my decision to apply. I realized I might have seemed a bit nervous, and given the lack of response, I understand I probably wasn't their first choice. But honestly, it's just common courtesy to let an applicant know they're no longer being considered instead of leaving them hanging. Professionalism really matters.

Analyst
I had a phone call with HR, then 3 on-site interviews, and also one interview via Skype. Everyone was really nice and welcoming at first. However, after not getting the job, I emailed HR and then the hiring manager asking for feedback, but they completely ignored me. It was a really bad look, especially since it would have taken minimal effort. They might think they have a cool vibe, but being professional still matters a lot.
- Can you describe your background and how it aligns with the requirements of this role?
Operations
The interview process was really laid back. Although my background didn't involve payment processing, my detail-oriented and people skills were transferable. I met with HR and the department manager. It was a mutual interview, allowing me to assess if it was the right fit. The conversation felt comfortable and informative about the potential CardConnect experience.
