It was pretty simple. Applied online and then HR got back to me maybe one or two weeks later. I had the HR screen, then interviewed with the hiring manager, followed by a panel interview. They asked for my references, and about a week or two later, I got the offer! I did apply for another job at Carbon before this, and I got rejected from that one, which was a bit confusing since the email didn't specify which role it was for.

So the first interview was basically just a check-in with the recruiter, asking about my qualifications and what I've done before, nothing too technical. Then, I had a second interview with the manufacturing manager. He went more into the technical stuff, like asking about my experience with different tools and machines, and how I handle troubleshooting. It was a mix of 'what if' scenarios and asking about past experiences.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process was pretty straightforward. First, I had some phone and Zoom calls with the recruiters. After that, we set up an in-person interview at their office with about three team members I'd be working with. I felt good after the interview, but they didn't hire me because they were looking for someone forklift certified, which wasn't mentioned in the LinkedIn job description. They told me they hired someone with that certification. I was initially okay with that, thinking it was just a certification issue, but then I saw they reposted the same job a few days later. It left a bad impression.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The interview process started with a recruiter call, which was straightforward. Then, I had a second interview with the department head, also quite simple. The third round was confusing; I just got a Google Calendar invite without any prior availability check. There was miscommunication regarding the final round, with changes to the time needed and an added presentation, all with very little communication. It ended up taking over two half-days, which felt unnecessary. Again, I just received a Google invite. Despite the logistical issues, I received very positive feedback. Late Friday, I got an email asking for my availability on Monday to 'go over things,' with the Google invite specifying an hour-long meeting. I thought it was just a casual chat about logistics since the final round was over. However, it turned out to be a surprise hour-long technical interview, which really caught me off guard. I think I did okay, but then they sent a rejection email just 7 minutes later. It was a terrible experience, and I'm still frustrated and annoyed by how I was treated.
