I had a phone interview with a recruiter, then an in person interview that was a bit over an hour and a half long and I met with 4 people, though one changed last minute. After that, I had another phone interview with someone else in the office, which was kind of weird. They never got back to me after the last phone interview, which I thought was unprofessional. They could take about two and a half hours of our time, but couldn't take a few minutes to send an email or leave a message saying I wasn't being considered. But, you know, that's how it goes. My impression was that they're all overworked and underpaid.

I first spoke with someone at a job fair. Then I applied online. It took a bit for them to get back to me because the application deadline was still a ways off. The first step was an online interview on my phone. After that, I came in for an in-person interview where I was supposed to meet with 6 people, but only ended up meeting 4.

Behavioral Presentation

I met with 5 different people and talked to them each one on one for about 15-30 minutes. They had two positions open on two different accounts and I met the people I would be working with on those accounts. Everyone was really nice, positive, and easy to talk to. They asked pretty standard questions like why I want to be in media, what ad campaign I liked recently, how I handle tough projects, and why I'm a good fit. They also told me a lot about Carat and how they work, and what it's like to be in Media Planning. At Carat, the work seems very collaborative since everyone works across channels instead of being separated into traditional and digital. It seems like a good place for an entry-level position to get exposure to all aspects of media planning.
