Capstone (Washington DC) Interview Questions
& Process

The interview process took place over four weeks and consisted of four rounds, similar to what has been observed in past reviews of this interview process. Unfortunately, no specific feedback was provided. Despite being told I was a top candidate, I did not receive an offer. I was required to travel to the office in person during a particularly cold period in Washington. The organization appears to be overwhelmingly white, which might be a factor, and I interviewed with several individuals who lacked any IT background. Based on prior reviews, I would advise against pursuing this opportunity.

The interview process took about 4 weeks. First, there was a recruiter call. Then, I had a second round with the head of business development, which was mostly behavioral questions and questions about my current role. The third round involved a case study where I had to analyze potential PE firms to pitch Capstone's services. The final round was a 2.5-hour in-person interview, focusing heavily on the case study but also including some behavioral questions.

Worst interview process I have ever experienced for the london office. Had multiple screening interviews with 4 managers, then I completed a private equity test case (which took 1 week of work) only to be rejected because they had already decided before I submitted, so it was a waste of everyone's time. Then I was referred for a business development role, for which I had another screening call and an interview with the director, only to be completely ghosted by them after I sent follow-up emails. I ended up accepting an offer for M&A at a large consultancy. Waste of time, would avoid.

I wasn't even sure when I applied to Capstone because it took them very long to get back to me, at the time I was contacted for a phone interview I had already been working at another place for a month. So if you're wondering if they skipped your application because its been so long, it might just be that they haven't gotten around to contacting you yet. The phone interview was very scripted, very typical / general questions about myself and why I want to work for Capstone. The 2nd interview was in person, I was interviewed by 2 people from the team and 1 person who i assumed was the HR person. They all asked different questions. After the 2nd interview I was contacted within a week to come back in and look over the job offer.
