You'll have an initial in-person chat with the sales manager and maybe the VP of sales, which is pretty chill, just talk about your sales background and show you're eager to sell. Then, there's a ride-along where you'll shadow an Outside Acct Exec to see what the day-to-day is like -- it's a chance for both sides to see if it's a good match. The final part is a group interview where you'll need to present COS's strengths, explain why you like COS, and discuss how you can add value.

  • Can you describe your sales experience?
  • Can you demonstrate your passion for selling?
  • Please present the strengths of COS.

Applied on LinkedIn. Had a phone screen with HR, who then set up interviews with the Hiring Manager, VP of Sales, and the company President. I had to create a 30/60/90 day plan presentation. I met with each person over a 2-day period. The initial salary offer was a bit low, but we were able to negotiate it up slightly. The whole process from application to offer took about 7 days, it was very fast.

So, the first interview was one-on-one. I got there a bit early, around 11:45 AM for a 12 PM interview. Turns out, the interviewer wasn't scheduled to see me until 12:30 PM, and they didn't come get me until then. Then, two days later, there was a panel interview where I met with four people. I had to give a PowerPoint presentation about myself and then answer questions from the panel.
