Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Capco.
AI Engineer
The first interview was mainly about the position and my background. The second one was an online assessment on CodePair, focusing on basic data manipulation and filtering. Then there was a casual behavioral interview. They really want someone who knows how to use AI agents and has hands-on experience with AI APIs. One interview got rescheduled and pushed back about 2 weeks. After the last interview, they ghosted me, even though I tried to follow up, which was the only bad part.
- Have you worked with AI APIs to build chatbots?
- Can you tell me about your experience with AI agents?
- What's your experience with AI APIs?
AI Engineer
I interviewed for a Software Developer role at Capco and went through four rounds. Despite my preparation, the process seemed disorganized and unprofessional. I never received any follow-up or feedback from the recruiter after completing the interviews, which was disappointing. The offered salary of around $57K is also significantly lower than the industry standard for this position, especially compared to other companies with better processes and pay. A 4 to 5 round interview process seems excessive for a company like this. It's frustrating to be treated this way as a candidate. If you want a company that respects your time and is transparent, I suggest looking elsewhere.
- What is your past experience?
- What is the latest AI/Technology news?
- Can you solve this medium Leetcode string question?
AI Engineer
The interview process was exciting and rational. First, a meeting with the recruiter. Then a technical rounds focusing on coding that was similar to real-world difficulty. Then a non-coding technical round. Finally, an interview exploring personal qualities and passion for the technology.
- How do you keep yourself updated on the fast-changing AI technologies?
