First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Canto Software.
Sales Development Representative
It was a standard SDR screening process. Since they're a small team, I first spoke with a Sales Manager. Then, in the second round, I met with the same manager and a director. They asked typical SDR interview questions.
- Can you share your background with us?
Sales Development Representative
So they started with a quick phone screen to see if they wanted to bring me in for a full team interview at the office. I think they were looking for someone prepared and who could talk to marketers and creatives all day, since that's who they sell to. After that, I got invited back for my first on-site. The sales team is super close and trusts each other a lot, so everyone got to meet me and ask me stuff. For this first on-site, I had to present my passion to the group, which was awesome! They asked really good questions, making me step up my game in processing and responding. The next on-site involved lunch with the sales team at a nice restaurant and a quick chat with the CEO. It was definitely a unique interview process! Then I had coffee with my future mentor at Canto. They offered me the job soon after and gave me a week to decide! The management was really transparent and honest throughout, and that's carried on since I started working here.
- What is your definition of leadership, and can you share an instance where you had to demonstrate leadership?
- Tell me about a time you had to take on a leadership role and what that meant to you.
Sales Development Representative
The interview process was seamless and entirely online. I met multiple people from the team and they seem to have a great culture. I'd love to work for this company. They have a great growth rate and are headquartered in San Francisco, with remote opportunities available.
- Describe a time you successfully rebutted a customer's pushback.
