Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Canon.
Business Analyst
It was a two stage interview. The first stage was a video call with the hiring manager, where they asked why I applied for the role and what I could bring to the table. The second stage was an in-person interview with both HR and the hiring manager. They asked some behavioral questions and about business knowledge, and I also had to give a presentation.
- Tell me about the biggest challenge you've encountered in your past roles.
Business Analyst
The interview process was easy to navigate. I was asked to be prompt and include examples to support my answers. It was a friendly and informative session with staff and HR. They responded back to the candidate with a decision quickly.
- Can you discuss your educational background?
- What are your qualifications for this job?
- What are some of your hobbies?
Business Analyst
This interview process was long and drawn out, with a lot of ridiculous competency-based questions. It didn't feel like they were trying to find someone who would be a good fit, just a tick-boxing exercise that would hire anyone who can lie well.
- What three things would make you an asset to this role?
