First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Canback Consulting.
Consultant
The interview process was online and pretty straightforward. I felt like the questions were average, and overall it seemed okay. There were no technical questions, and I didn't really need to prepare anything.
- Can you explain how AI can be integrated into consulting?
Business Analyst
Found the job on my school's careers page and applied. The first interview was on campus with a couple of current business analysts. They asked mostly behavioral questions and then a case study question. It was pretty straightforward. Then I had a second interview, an on-site at their Boston office. This one had more behavioral questions, with a more senior person, and then a case study where I had to ask the right questions to get more data to find a solution. Overall, it was a pretty good experience, and people were mostly friendly.
- How would you measure the height of the Empire State Building using only pieces of paper laid flat on top of each other?
Intern
It was a 30-minute phone call that was half behavioral and half case. They first asked me why I was interested in management consulting, and then specifically why I was interested in EIU Canback. They also asked what other companies I was considering. Then they asked what I knew about EIU Canback and why I thought I would be a good fit. The interviewer wanted to confirm I understood consulting and was ready to jump right in. After that, there was a general case question, which wasn't too difficult, and the interviewer was nice.
- How would you approach expanding a soft drink business in Africa?
Analyst
It was a standard case interview process that took about 2 weeks. Round 1 had one case study and a competency/behavioral question. Round 2 had 3 case studies. It involved market sizing questions. After that, there was a presentation and then an offer.
- Can you tell me why you are interested in Canback?
- What would you consider to be your greatest strengths?
- What do you think are your biggest weaknesses?
