First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Canary Technologies.
Software Engineer
The interview process was amazing. The interviewers were always trying to make me feel comfortable during every meeting. The process was long, but nothing out of the ordinary. There was a first interview with an HR recruiter. After that, a short technical interview, where they sent me a home challenge. Once approved, there were two technical interviews to get hired.
- Tell me about a framework you like.
Software Developer
First there was an HR call, then I talked to a lead or senior dev about technical stuff. After that, they looked at a pull request I made. Finally, there was another technical interview with a few developers. I never heard back and got no feedback.
- Could you describe how you would manage situations involving disagreements with coworkers?
Senior Software Engineer
The interview process included 5 interviews, starting with a 15-minute initial screening. There was a technical interview that mainly involved discussing preferences for various tools. I also had an interview with one of the co-founders. The take-home assignment required a PR review, which was straightforward and effective. The questions were challenging and focused more on soft skills than technical expertise.
- Can you share something that people misunderstand about you?
