I interviewed for an administrative assistant job, but it was a bait and switch. The manager hired me quickly, and we agreed on my duties. After accepting, on my first day post-orientation, I was sent to the front desk without explanation. Turns out, the receptionist was leaving, and I was trained to cover the front desk on top of my admin tasks. I left shortly after.

A recruiter contacted me on LinkedIn about a project manager role. They initially suggested using messaging apps like WhatsApp and Telegram, which felt a bit off. I asked if we could use Google Meet instead, and they agreed. It took them days to get back to me about scheduling, and when they did, they just said 'now.' I pushed to set a specific time, proposed a date and time, and confirmed the time zone. They agreed and sent a meeting invite, but then didn't show up for the interview. This recruiter was really unprofessional, had bad spelling and grammar, poor communication, and didn't represent the company well at all.
