I had a pre-screening, then a screening interview, followed by a 1-hour interview with the manager and a talent scout. The experience wasn't stressful. It was helpful to review the history of the Canadian Red Cross before the interviews. The management was friendly and knowledgeable, and they seem to have a long-term commitment to the company.

The online interview started with a quick intro, then we went over my experience and skills. We talked about the job, and I got to ask some questions. The interviewer checked my problem-solving skills with a practical scenario. It ended with them telling me the next steps and a nice chat.

The interview experience was quite surprising. The person interviewing me wasn't the one who initially contacted me about the role, and I didn't receive any prior notification. During the interview, the interviewer seemed disengaged, almost bored, as if just going through a list of questions. They were unable to provide clear answers to some fundamental questions about the job responsibilities, which was disappointing. It felt like they weren't really listening, as I was asked questions I had already addressed. I was told I'd hear back within two weeks, but instead, I received an automated rejection email four weeks later, even after sending a follow-up that went unanswered.
