The interview process was very straightforward, with a number of situational-based questions. The interview took place during COVID, when a number of positions were being recruited for, so it may be different than during traditional periods.

The recruiter spoke very quickly and didn't give much time to get ready for interviews. They often suggest the next day for interviews with no warning. The questions asked didn't seem to match the job. If you don't get the job, you won't hear back for weeks, and then you'll get a generic email saying the role is filled.

  • Can you describe how you'd explain a complex topic to someone new to it?

I had a pre-screening, then a screening interview, followed by a 1-hour interview with the manager and a talent scout. The experience wasn't stressful. It was helpful to review the history of the Canadian Red Cross before the interviews. The management was friendly and knowledgeable, and they seem to have a long-term commitment to the company.
