First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Canadian Red Cross.
Advisor
The interview process was very straightforward, with a number of situational-based questions. The interview took place during COVID, when a number of positions were being recruited for, so it may be different than during traditional periods.
- Were you willing to work weekends?
Financial Analyst
There will be an assignment that you need to do and present to the interviewers if you are selected for the next steps in the process
- Can you describe your experience with Power BI and dashboards?
- What makes you want to work for the Red Cross?
- What are your salary expectations for this role?
Coordinator
The recruiter spoke very quickly and didn't give much time to get ready for interviews. They often suggest the next day for interviews with no warning. The questions asked didn't seem to match the job. If you don't get the job, you won't hear back for weeks, and then you'll get a generic email saying the role is filled.
- What makes you the top choice for this job?
- Can you describe how you'd explain a complex topic to someone new to it?
Case Manager
I had a pre-screening, then a screening interview, followed by a 1-hour interview with the manager and a talent scout. The experience wasn't stressful. It was helpful to review the history of the Canadian Red Cross before the interviews. The management was friendly and knowledgeable, and they seem to have a long-term commitment to the company.
- In the aftermath of a disaster, how would you get ready to help those affected?
