Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Canadian Natural.
Production Engineer
I applied for the Production Engineering Student role via LinkedIn and got a call to schedule an interview pretty quickly, within a few hours. The interview itself was online and I spoke with the HR manager and someone from engineering. It was mostly behavioral questions.
- Tell me about a time you had a conflict with a coworker and how you resolved it.
Production Engineer
Overall a good experience. They worked around my travel plans. It took a bit for them to respond, but they did, which is more than can be said for many companies that just go silent. It was a very technical interview, not many behavioral questions, but I'm fine with that.
- What is the company's mission statement?
Process Engineer
I talked to an HR rep and an engineer for this role. They asked really common interview questions like 'greatest strength and weakness', conflict resolution, and 'tell me about yourself'. It was a good interview overall, they answered all my questions and were friendly.
- What is your greatest weakness?
- Tell me about yourself.
- How do you handle conflict resolution?
