Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Canadian Natural.
Accountant
I interviewed with CNRL for an Accounts Payable position. It was about an hour long and involved two supervisors and an HR person. It was mostly behavioral questions and I thought it was pretty easy if you were prepared. HR mentioned they had more interviews that week, so I figured I'd hear back in about two weeks. It's been since February 25th and I haven't heard anything. I know companies have a lot of people to talk to, but it would be nice to get a quick email saying you didn't get the job. Overall it was a good experience, but better communication would make it better for the candidates.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What are your strengths and weaknesses?
Accountant
It's a standard interview process, although it takes longer than usual. They begin with behavioral questions and then ask a few questions specific to the job duties. Overall, it goes well if you're well-prepared beforehand.
- Can you share a bit about yourself?
Accountant
It was a 2 step interview, first with HR then with the Department Team. If I passed, they would send the offer letter the following week. The whole process took about 3 weeks.
- Could you describe what integrity signifies to you?
