Leasing Consultant
I was really disappointed with how this company handled the interview process. Even though they're known as a great place to work, it felt really unprofessional. The Community Manager seemed unprepared, like they were scrambling to find questions during the interview. HR also gave me timelines that they never met. After a month of hearing nothing, I had to reach out again to find out they chose someone else. Candidates should at least get basic communication.
- Can you share an instance where you exceeded expectations for a customer?
Leasing Consultant
The interview process was pretty thorough, with three main steps. I got to chat with the recruiter, the general manager, a leasing consultant from the team, and even our district manager. It was great being interviewed by so many people who work at Camden. It really didn't feel scary or intimidating at all. Everyone was super nice, and you could tell they genuinely enjoyed being part of Camden.
- Can you explain how you'd leverage your past experience and knowledge in this leasing consultant role?
Leasing Consultant
The interview process was very straightforward and I felt welcomed by every employee from Camden that I met with. I applied to an open position after connecting with a manager on LinkedIn. I was able to interview the following day after applying as I was going to be in the Tampa area for the day. This first interview was with the managers from the community that I applied to. The interview lasted a little over 1 hour but that's because it was very conversational and we were all getting to know each other more. I got asked to come back for a 2nd interview with the district manager and felt a little more like a traditional interview. The format was essentially question and answer but I still felt welcomed and supported.
- Can you discuss your prior experience in customer service and sales?
- What is your approach to handling conflict?
- Describe a situation where you experienced conflict with a colleague.

My whole interview and hiring experience, from the first HR screening to onboarding, was really great. The HR folks at the main Texas HQ were super helpful and happy to explain anything I was unsure about. If they didn't know an answer, they'd quickly find someone who did. It started with an initial HR phone screening to talk about my interest in the job and what to expect. Then, I had two in-person interviews. The first was with my direct supervisor, and the second was with a panel that included senior management and some future coworkers. Everyone was really nice, answered all my questions, and I'd definitely recommend this company. I have nothing but good things to say about the HR team and the hiring process.
