Administrative Assistant
Applied online, which was pretty straightforward. Got a call from HR two days past the deadline for an in-person interview. Couldn't make the original time and they wouldn't reschedule. The day before, I got super sick and emailed my HR contact about rescheduling but got no reply. I called them four times, even tried the reception, but kept getting sent back to the same person who went to voicemail. It was frustrating, no way to get to anyone else. Finally, another HR person was reached, but for the wrong team. They emailed my original contact. I was still feeling awful and stressed, so I emailed one of the interviewers. No response there either. Called reception again to get to an interviewer, but again, voicemail. Eventually, after 8 hours, I got through to someone who sorted out rescheduling with HR. Even with the rescheduling, I felt like nobody I spoke to actually cared. The interview itself was pretty standard. Even though I thought I did well, I didn't get the job, and I suspect the whole scheduling nightmare played a part.
- Can you tell me about your greatest accomplishment?
Administrative Assistant
I applied for the job, but it took ages, like 4 months, and I had to keep asking them for an update because they weren't getting back to me. The interview itself was pretty standard, lasting about 1 hour and 15 minutes. It included an Excel test that was surprisingly tough, involving pivot tables. I wasn't ready for that because they didn't mention needing advanced Excel skills, and they just said there'd be a 'relevant test'.
- What makes you interested in this position?
- Tell me about your future career goals.
- What is your record for absences?
Office Administrator
So there are 2 steps, first, they did an automated review, and then there was a face to face interview. The second interview involved 2 quick tests on language skills and excell skills.
- Can you share instances from your past work where you dealt with challenging situations?
- How do you handle a lot of work that continuously increases?
