Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cambridge Consultants.
Consultant
The interview was super friendly and took up the whole day. I had to get a short presentation ready beforehand. Then, I had one-on-one chats with different team members and also got a tour of their offices.
- What makes you want this job?
Technical Consultant
We had a group call that lasted about 4 hours, with some individual and group exercises. The individual tasks were tough but clear, but the group tasks were confusing. We got different documents and had to put them together to find info. It would've been easier in person, but on a group call, only one person can talk at a time and sharing details was hard, and they wanted us to reach a few different conclusions.
- Given unique documents detailing hospital operations, how would you propose improvements to their internal processes?
Senior Consultant
It started with a phone interview, then I had a task to do at home. After that, I had a full day of interviews where I met the main people and future teammates. It was pretty intense and took a long time, so I had to put other job possibilities on hold if I could.
- Could you explain the reasoning behind your chosen solution?
- Walk me through your decision-making process for this task.
