Support Worker
It was a positive and well-structured interview with encouraging interviewers. I had the chance to take my time to think. They asked a lot of questions, including some scenarios that didn't have a single right answer. We also discussed what to expect from the role and shift availability.
- What motivated you to apply for this position?
Support Worker
The interview process was pretty straightforward and inclusive. The interviewers were fair and helpful. I was a bit nervous because I had just arrived in the country, but they were helpful in adapting me to the interview process. I felt supported and the pressure was off because it felt like a two-way conversation.
- Can you tell me about your experience with safeguarding?
- What do you know about safeguarding?
Support Worker
Got an email about two weeks after applying online to schedule an interview. When I showed up, I had to wait about 40 minutes. Then, it was a 2-person panel interview, one guy and one lady. He did all the talking and asking questions, while she just wrote down my answers. Neither of them seemed very friendly or welcoming; they didn't crack a smile the whole time, making it a really unpleasant experience. After the interview part, they put me in a room with a bunch of papers to fill out, which was basically the same as the original application. It took me close to half an hour to finish.
- What is your response if a service user were to spit at you?
- Can you share an experience where you provided care and supported someone's independence?
