Residential Support Worker
Application Form followed by a Zoom interview. They seem really eager to hire, so you'll likely get the job regardless of how you perform in the interview. They'll inquire about your experience, previous jobs, and how you'd manage specific scenarios.
- Can you share an instance of conflict you encountered?
- What experience do you have?
- Tell me about your past employment.
Residential Support Worker
It was a pretty standard interview with a panel of two people. They asked questions and then I got to ask them some too. The vibe was chill, but the questions were tough if you don't have much support work experience. They didn't reveal much, and I heard back the very next day after interviewing on Tuesday because they finished all their interviews that day!
- What would you do if a resident absconded?
Support Worker
Got an email about two weeks after applying online to schedule an interview. When I showed up, I had to wait about 40 minutes. Then, it was a 2-person panel interview, one guy and one lady. He did all the talking and asking questions, while she just wrote down my answers. Neither of them seemed very friendly or welcoming; they didn't crack a smile the whole time, making it a really unpleasant experience. After the interview part, they put me in a room with a bunch of papers to fill out, which was basically the same as the original application. It took me close to half an hour to finish.
- What is your response if a service user were to spit at you?
- Can you share an experience where you provided care and supported someone's independence?
HR Business Partner
It was a face-to-face interview with a panel of 2 people, though one interviewer was unprepared and awful. They tried to change the interview time on the morning of the interview. The hiring manager, who was supposed to be the main interviewer, seemed totally disinterested and had a fairness about her. This put me off the process from the moment I walked in the reception! They didn't provide any feedback or even an email to state that I was unsuccessful. The package offered was awful compared to the job requirements. It showed a total lack of professional respect, especially coming from HR professionals. The reviews about the head of ER certainly made sense!
- What are your thoughts on contract frustration?
