I applied online and got an email back within an hour to interview the next day. I showed up to a small office with 15 other people, which was unexpected. The interview was very fast, only 15 minutes, and I was interviewed with another candidate, which felt competitive. Afterwards, she mentioned they were running 45 minutes behind for her interview. The staff was friendly, and he mentioned receiving 800 applications and interviewing 100 people, with 30 moving to the next round. He said I'd promote a specific charity, but the second interview emails mentioned others.

I felt scammed. I applied online through Craigslist, then I received an email the next day to set up a meet and greet. I went through a standard 10 min interview. That evening, I got a call congratulating me for a second interview. I was pretty psyched. I received a confirmation email stating the date/time, to dress business formal and to wear comfortable shoes for standing/walking. I arrived to the second interview at noon and found out the interview would last til 7pm! I got called by someone then to be left off with a different employee because I would need to impress him/her. I followed the employee to their car with other applicants waiting and said we would be going to help out a sponsor. We drove about 10 min, parked at a neighborhood, and then we began knocking at houses asking for donations. They have this whole pitch, "For only $28 you can sponsor a child, we don't take cash today but we accept all major cards." Which basically is a automatic thing. We walked to 80 houses, and then walked again to knock on the doors who didn't answer the first time. I felt scammed because the email did not explain what the interview consisted of, which was walking with an employee and trainees knocking on doors for 7 hours. The company site raves how much money they've raised for impoverished children, but in no way say how they do it. You gotta have about 10 closed applications in the first week. There was this whole hierarchy. If you like door to door, go for it. They are hiring tons of people.

The interview was comfortable and I was at ease with the interviewer. I was asked basic questions like my strengths and weaknesses. There was also a role play question where I had to act as a Vice President of Marketing, which was fun because I practiced this in my last semester. Role playing is an effective communication and learning tool used by many employers. I was also asked to introduce myself and then present the person next to me. The HR team seemed young and friendly, which was attractive to me as I come from a very different environment.
