So for the internship, it's all about coding. You gotta know your basic oops stuff, and then dive into Java. They'll ask about Strings, Threads, Exception handling, and Collections. Make sure you're up to speed on Java 8 too. Some basic SQL is on the table. No aptitude tests, just pure technical. They really want to see that you're eager to learn and develop.

Confirmed questions8 questions
  • Can you explain basic oops concepts?
  • Tell me about Java questions on Strings.
  • Tell me about Java questions on Threads.

I went through a one-day interview process after being referred. However, I haven't heard back from the HR team yet, and my friend who referred me also hasn't received any updates when they inquired. The HR department seems poorly managed, perhaps the worst I've encountered. I wouldn't recommend wasting your time here. They promise HR will contact you, but they never do, and this has happened to two of my friends as well. It's disrespectful to waste people's time when you're not serious about hiring. Fortunately, I accepted a better offer from another company. Calypso is a subpar and unethical company. I've heard they lack innovation and mainly focus on bug fixing for experienced candidates.

The interview process had 2 stages: first a phone interview, then an onsite interview. The phone interview was about 45-60 minutes long and included questions about my past experience and some basic technical topics like collections, lists, sets, and transient keywords. The onsite interview involved meeting different team members from the department I'd be working in. The questions during the onsite focused on design patterns and how to solve specific problems.

  • Could you tell me about your previous experience?
  • Do you have knowledge of collections, lists, sets, and the transient keyword?
  • What are your thoughts on design patterns?
