Customer Service Representative
A lot of people find the interview process scary and daunting when applying for a new job, but knowing how to prepare yourself for real life can make it easier. Understanding the interview process as a whole, including what to expect during your phone interviews, in-person interviews, for some industries such as software engineering, and perhaps for an interview via video, will save you considerable stress from not being prepared.

First, we had a large group interview to get to know each other. They also gave us a tour of the facilities and a 'mental agility' / cognitive test. Then, there was a one-on-one with HR to assess our capabilities and experiences.

Right after I was hired, I got two emails on August 16, 2017, with my first assignments. One email told me to reply to it because some emails were bouncing. I was really excited about getting the job and earning money again, so I finished my personal stuff and planned to start making calls on August 17, 2017. When I didn't hear back from QA Call Center by the end of the day, I checked the assignments and saw the instruction to reply. I replied, admitting I missed that detail. I also asked if they thought I did a good job and expressed concern about not getting more work, since others seemed to be getting a lot. Still no response, so I emailed again on August 21, 2017, saying I hadn't been paid or given new assignments. I worried it was because I missed the reply instruction, and also concerned about perceived disability discrimination because calls are recorded and I have a speech impediment. I didn't hear anything from QA Call Center until August 25, 2017. On that day, I got an email saying payment was sent to my PayPal and they'd let me know if more calls were available, and asked me to do a survey. I checked PayPal immediately and saw no payment. I took screenshots as proof and emailed them on August 25, 2017, with the screenshots showing no payment. So far, I haven't received any more emails from QA about my payment, no new work, and no replies to my emails. Since I haven't been paid, gotten any responses to my emails (especially the one about not getting paid), and can't reach anyone by phone, I'm writing to figure out what's going on with QA Call Center regarding my payment and why I'm not getting new work. This situation makes me think I'm a victim of perceived disability discrimination. I did forget the exact start time of my first call and guessed, but I later found the actual start time on my phone for the rest. This was an honest mistake, not an attempt to cheat, and I still finished the assignment, plus the company cut off the call.

After a test call evaluation form, I was sent a phone number to call and instructed to make a real call. I called about insurance, and my duties were to ask about individual or couples insurance using a specific amount of funds. I had to wait to hear if the person I was speaking with conveyed the correct information. I had to stay on the phone for 3 to 10 minutes. After the phone call interview, I received an email welcoming me to the company and offering me calls to make. I made 5 calls one day.
- Was I offered the job?
- I was sent an email to make 7 calls, of which I did five. 2 calls didn't go through.
