I interviewed with Calix India, and it was a really good and helpful experience. Right from the start, everything was set up well and easy to understand. Gouthami from recruiting kept in touch quickly and clearly at each step, giving good details on what the interviews would be like, what they expected, and the schedule. The interviewers were nice, professional, and really seemed interested in my past work and experiences. The talks were interesting and made me think, covering both deep technical stuff and how to solve real problems. What I liked best was how we worked together in the interviews; it wasn't just about testing what I knew, but understanding my thinking and how I tackle issues. Overall, it was a great time, and I really valued the chance to connect with such a skilled and polite team.

So they first looked at my profile for a Staff software engineer role. After I finished all the rounds, when it was time for the offer, they asked me to join as a Senior Software Engineer instead. Don't trust the Calix salaries on Glassdoor, they're misleading. For a Senior Software Engineer role with 10 years of Java experience, they were offering 35 lpa. The interviews were pretty straightforward, with basic LeetCode easy questions and a simple design question. The whole process took about a month, and they ended up offering less CTC than I was currently making.

It was a very nice interview process with several face-to-face rounds. It might have taken a while, but I felt it was really cool and great. It feels worth spending time to get a good, meaningful job. The working atmosphere, the standardized procedures, the HR, and the interviewers' professional abilities all really impressed me. They were all very kind and sincere.
