Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Calix.
Sales Account Executive
I had around 3 to 4 interviews, and then I never heard back. I sent follow-ups, but no formal yes or no. They just ghosted me. It felt really unprofessional, like they have this sense of entitlement and think they're the best place to work. I'm sure it's great, but that doesn't give them the right to treat candidates poorly.
- Can you walk me through your background and experience?
Account Executive
The interviews were a series of 30-minute one-on-one Zoom calls. It started with the hiring manager and then included other team members. They're looking for people who are good at their job and work well with others.
- Can you share an example of a difficult client interaction you've had?
- What's your usual approach to dealing with customer pushback?
- What's your background using CRM systems?
Account Executive
The Calix interview process was really smooth and professional, and I enjoyed it. They made sure I knew what to expect and what the next steps were. It took about 6 weeks from the first recruiter call to getting the offer. HR was good about getting back to me after each round with feedback and letting me know what was coming up next.
- What's your approach when a prospect or client goes silent during the sales cycle?
