I needed a job quickly, and this store was hiring, so we arranged the interview just a couple of days after I applied. The general manager was really nice, and the questions were super easy since it was my first job. The interview took place in the backroom. They asked the typical questions like 'Why do you want to work here?' and 'What are your strengths and weaknesses?'. Afterward, I was taken out to the sales floor to see how I'd handle customer service. I was asked to approach someone and offer help, which I didn't really see coming. It wasn't too hard because there weren't many shoppers, and the customer was quite pleasant. They offered me the job right at the end.

Behavioral Group

I grabbed some hiring info from the cashier counter and applied online. A call came within a week for a phone pre-screening, and then I was asked to come in for an interview. The staff seemed really unprofessional. The supervisor who was supposed to interview me seemed like she didn't want to bother, so she had someone else do it. The questions weren't tough, just basic stuff like why I want to work there and a lot about teamwork and how I interact with people. I thought I did okay, but it felt like a waste of time since they told me at the end they weren't hiring for the location I interviewed at, but for one further away.

Behavioral Group Case

I applied online and they got back to me later. I got a call on Thursday for an interview that was on Sunday morning. It was a group interview with a panel of three assistant managers who each asked some questions, and the manager also asked questions. They were pretty straightforward. There was supposed to be another one-on-one interview, but I guess I was too qualified and they didn't follow up.
