When you go into the store to get an application, they give you a brochure detailing the company's expectations and a small section to fill out. Before submitting that part, you're required to complete an online application and questionnaire, which takes around 30-45 minutes. If you successfully pass this stage and they're interested, they'll contact you for an interview. My initial interview was with the store manager over the phone, as I was relocating at the time. It included typical questions along with those specific to shoe sales. After about 30 minutes, she mentioned she liked my personality and wanted me to have an in-person interview with the associate manager once I arrived in town, which was just a week away. This in-person interview lasted about 45 minutes and was largely a repeat of the phone conversation, with a greater focus on my personality and strengths. After both interviews are done (some stores might require a third with the assistant manager), they said they'd call within a few days to provide an update. For those interviewing with this company, remember the dress code is business casual. Slacks (or a knee-length skirt) and a button-down top are essential for the interview. Absolutely NO sneakers or worn-out shoes. Ladies should opt for heels, and gentlemen for dress shoes.

I interviewed with the store manager and district manager for an Assistant Manager position. They were both friendly and professional. I was looking for advancement based on my experience, but that didn't end up happening so I moved on. They were open to negotiating a higher wage. The interview was about an hour drive away, which can happen in a large metro area. The process moved pretty fast. I was pleased they could accommodate me with a convenient location and little commute.
