First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec.
Intern
The interview process was a bit long. I got an invite for an online interview about 2-3 weeks after applying, which is pretty standard. But then they waited a whole month to invite me for a 1-on-1 interview. It's not a complaint, just an observation that it felt slower than other places. They did a good job of making me feel relaxed during the interviews, which I appreciated! I really liked the 1-on-1 because it gave me a chance to talk about my background and what drives me. I also got to ask questions about the industry. After this stage, they tend to take their time with a decision, which can be a bit nerve-wracking.
- What motivates you to continue with projects or work you've already committed to?
Intern
After you submit your application to a pool of internship opportunities, HR will review your profile and match you with specific teams that align with your skills and interests based off of your Hirevue. Once you are matched to a team, you get a live interview with the team you have been matched to.
- What motivates you to join CDPQ?
Intern
I applied and about a week later, I got an email for the first round. It was a remote interview through VidCruiter where I had a few days to complete it. It involved recording myself answer 4-5 behavioral questions. Each question gave me 30 seconds to prep and 1 minute 30 seconds to answer. After that, I heard nothing back, so I don't know what the rest of the process was.
- Can you share your past work experiences?
- What do you consider to be your strengths and weaknesses?
- What makes you interested in this particular position?
