Ricky Cain, a really nice guy, conducted an initial brief phone interview. He asked about what drives you in your work and your interest in real estate. The next step is a 3.5 hour group interview, so bring snacks! You might meet others applying for different roles on the team during this interview. The whole morning is spent observing the team convert leads. Most on the Cain Team are licensed or working towards their license and are seasoned real estate professionals. The group interview wasn't really a group interview; it wasn't very interactive. We observed them work for 3.5 hours. They broke down a call for self-development and asked candidates one question: Are you licensed or working towards a real estate license? They're looking for someone with a passion for real estate and to see if you feel comfortable in that environment.

The interview process took over a month to complete and had 5 main steps. It started with a screening call, followed by team shadowing. Then, I completed a KPA assessment and had a meeting to go over the results. After that, they contacted my references. Finally, I had a meeting to discuss my goals and life story, and a meet & greet with my spouse to ensure we would click. This was the most thorough interview I've ever gone through, and I'm grateful for it. I feel they understand me better now, which will help them coach me more effectively. I think it might take less time if you've already passed your real estate exam, but it took a while to get through the courses, exam, and all the paperwork. Everything was done virtually except for the meet & greet.

The interview process was unlike anything I'd experienced before. It lasted just over 3 weeks and had about 5-6 steps, including a phone interview, a KPA, a Zoom call to discuss KPA results, shadowing, and a career visioning session. It was clear CRG wanted a good partnership. This hiring process really made me reflect on myself. I'm really thankful for the time and effort the team put into getting to know me.
