First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CAI.
Validation Engineer
The interview process was pretty straightforward and relied heavily on the connections I already had with the company I was applying to (Genentech). However, there were good people at CAI who were willing to offer me a chance.
- Can you discuss batch control and automation systems?
Validation Engineer
After a phone interview, there's an informal in-person meeting, often at a restaurant. Some technical questions related to the role will be asked. It's mostly about checking if you're a good personality fit and if you can handle the unique responsibilities. They'll also talk a lot about travel requirements, depending on the specific role.
- How do you feel about traveling?
Systems Validation Engineer
It was a standard interview process with three interviews. First, a phone screen with Talent Acquisition, then a technical interview with the Client Manager, and finally a behavioral interview with the Regional Manager. The whole thing took about a month from when I applied. They were looking for someone with pharma experience, especially with West Coast clients. A week later, they said they picked someone else. It was a bit odd, but everyone was nice. I asked for feedback but never got it.
- Can you explain DFMEA, DOE, and Design Control?
- What's your process for validating a product, from the initial requirements?
- How do you handle client problems?
