The interview process was pretty simple, mostly asking about your past experience, when you can work, and if you're a good fit for the job. It felt pretty chill and easy to talk through. Just be ready for usual interview questions, point out skills that matter, and show you're excited about it. If you nail these basics, you'll feel good all the way and have a better shot at moving on.

I applied and after about three weeks I got an email requesting for an interview. My email said that interviews would be held between 9-1 that Friday (received the email on Wednesday), so I arrived a little after 10. When I got there, no one was there except a few kitchen staff. I asked an employee about my interview and she had no idea what I was talking about, but told me to take a seat and gave me a drink. After about 15 minutes of waiting, the same employee asked me a couple questions for my interview. The entire thing was super unorganized because she didn't even have my application or basic information.

I learned about the opening through a friend and went in to get an application, which I submitted the next day. The manager I met when I handed in the application said I should hear back in a week or two to set up an interview. I got the call 11 days later for an interview that same day at 4:30pm. I arrived early but had to wait a bit because someone else was being interviewed. When I let them know I was there for the interview, I was asked to sit down and was given a cup to fill with water. Two people interviewed me simultaneously: a lead crew member and the manager I'd met before. They alternated asking questions and explaining the job duties, making an effort to put me at ease. I was nervous but tried not to show it. It was a relaxed interview, lasting about 10-15 minutes. Towards the end, they asked if I'd sing "Happy Birthday" right there in the restaurant. After a few sips of water, I did, though not how they expected. They mentioned that if I got a call within two weeks, it would be for a second interview or an offer; otherwise, no call meant they were still deciding or I wouldn't get an offer. It's been 25 days with no response, but I've moved on to other job applications since then, viewing it as a learning experience since it was my first job interview. The process itself was fine, just no offer came my way.
