Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Caesars Entertainment.
Security Officer
The company made me feel valued from the first moment I met someone face to face. The first interview was with the Director of Security and 2 staff. Excellent interactions made me feel like this was the place I wanted to work. Following that, Caesar's scheduled a Panel Interview. Again, fun experience, but you have to go into this interview with a smile on your face and a willingness to show your personality. Don't hold back!
- What is your understanding of our company?
- What motivates your interest in working with us?
- How has your past experience prepared you for this role?
Security Officer
You can apply online or in person, and then you'll have an interview with an HR rep. If they think you're a good fit, or maybe for another department, they'll set up another interview with a department manager or supervisor.
- Do you consider yourself self-motivated?
Security Officer
First, a recruiter will call you for a phone interview. If that goes well, you'll be invited to a panel interview. The panel interview involves about 20 people in a room with a table and chairs. You'll meet the interview panel and they'll explain the process. First, you'll need to stand up, introduce yourself, mention the job(s) you're applying for, and explain why you're a good fit for the job and for Horseshoe. Then, you'll pick a card from a deck on the table, which will either give you a role-play scenario (like a lost reservation, an irate customer, or a poor loser) or a question (job-related, career-related, or hypothetical like visiting a time period or meeting a famous person). After that, you'll get to ask the interviewers questions. Then you wait while they deliberate in another room. They'll call people individually or in groups and then inform those remaining if they've passed the panel. You'll be given a paper saying you can expect a call in 3-5 days. I got my call about 3 hours after leaving my panel interview. My advice: There's a fine line between cocky and confident, try not to cross it. Practice answering basic interview questions. Keep it positive and highlight your strengths. Look at the interviewers when they talk and ask questions, but make sure to look at everyone when answering. If you get nervous, take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth. Keep your answers brief and on topic. Since it's a panel interview, don't interrupt the group.
