Got an email out of the blue asking if I was still available, since I applied back in June and it was now September. I was interviewed by the outgoing PM in a hallway because a conference room wasn't reserved, he was at client site. It was casual but odd. He decided I was the one and started to make the offer, but I had to meet the SVP in Annapolis first. After meeting the SVP, I was told I was being offered the job. The hiring process got confusing. A recruiter contacted me, but also another lady who I thought was the recruiter, but she was on the program (a PCA acting as onboarding). She worked from home. The recruiter was in California and got my offer letter wrong twice. After I signed, the PM asked if I could move up my start date by a couple weeks to overlap and train me since the program was a large network and had technical things to learn. I accommodated him, but he only overlapped for two days because he wanted to go on vacation. Then I was on my own. Recruiters are a nightmare, they can't find qualified candidates. No wonder the hiring manager called me himself. I applied and a recruiter never called me!

We talked about my past work and what the job entails to see if I'd be a good fit. The interviewer was chill and we chatted about the day-to-day stuff. They threw in some "for example" type questions. It felt like a good match for the role, where we both figured out if it was right for us.

The interview felt pretty informal, and the interviewer really knew their stuff about the company. It went for about 45 minutes and I got immediate feedback. Overall, it was a good experience and I ended up getting a job offer. They asked relevant questions about the job and how I perform.
