The interview process felt very rushed, and it seemed like they already had someone in mind for the position. They were just interviewing external candidates to fulfill the legal requirements for the contract, which is pretty typical for CACI.

A CACI project manager reached out to me when I was retiring from the USMC. We chatted about my future plans, and he offered me a job. Then, I had a formal interview with my future boss, which went well. Afterwards, I was told to come back later for admin work. I returned, and they started the hiring process, which involved about a half hour of filling out paperwork.

I went to a hiring event in DC in the summer of 2012 and met a bunch of recruiters who offered to do quick interviews right then and there. CACI was one of the companies that really stood out because their recruiter was super professional and prepared. After our 15-minute chat, I gave them my resume and was told to apply officially on the CACI website. About 3 days after the event, I got an email setting up a phone interview with one of their 'senior and established' Logistics Analyst Managers. I was really impressed with CACI up to this point, they were definitely in my top 3 companies out of hundreds I'd met at various events over the past few months. I actually made the call a couple days later, even though I had already gotten a firm offer from another company that I ended up accepting about a week later. This phone interview is where my positive feelings about CACI changed. The interviewer seemed uninterested and unprepared. He presented himself as an expert in acquisition and logistics management but couldn't explain the job responsibilities or what management expected. He apologized, saying he had just returned from lunch and wasn't ready for the interview, thinking it was scheduled for later. We ended the call with the usual 'someone will call you' for a follow-up, but I decided to call the original recruiter and withdraw my application. I'd still recommend CACI based on their track record and my experience with the recruiter, but I'd caution against accepting a subpar interview process if you happen to experience one like mine.
