The hiring process at CA Technologies has been very slow. The recruiter seemed unengaged or lazy. I was scheduled for a conference with the hiring manager, but there was no HR coordination. Emails often go unanswered. The slow recruitment process by HR is making me lose confidence in the company, and my patience is being tested due to the lack of proper communication from the recruitment HR.

It was a long and thorough interview process. I was hired for a new team, so CA wanted to make sure they found the right person for the group. There were several stages to the interview process, and the time between interviews varied. First, I had a phone interview with the team leader, which was a general technical and personal interview. Then, I had a phone interview with an expert in my field, who was a technical representative at CA. After that, I interviewed with a senior member of the team over the phone; this was non-technical and focused on team dynamics and direction. Next, I had a phone interview with the Vice President of the group, focusing on personality and fit within the larger organization. This was followed by a face-to-face interview with the Vice President and a Senior team member, where the final decision on team fit was made and roles were discussed in more detail. Lastly, I had an interview with the Senior Vice President, offering a connection to CA at a different level. The entire process was extensive and meticulous, as they were committed to building the right team.

The interview process was pretty easy. They asked general questions at the beginning to make sure I had the basics and foundational knowledge for the field. They're looking for smart and committed people to hire.
