Senior Support Engineer
It was a pretty smooth process, although they could have used more professional interviewers. I would have preferred direct questions instead of the roundabout approach. Overall, it seemed okay. Knowing the product was key.
- Tell me about your experience with tech support.
Support Engineer
It was for a college internship way back in 2005. The interview felt pretty entry level and I think I did okay. A friend referred me, and after completing a six month internship, they offered me a permanent position.
- Can you find 1, 2, and 3 missing numbers in an array that contains the first N natural numbers?
Support Engineer
Started with a recruiter call on Monday to see if I was interested. I sent my resume on Tuesday, and by Friday I heard back that they were interested and scheduled a phone interview. Tuesday was the screening interview, which started with general IT questions and then moved to about 7-8 specific technical ones. It seemed to go well. I waited a week with no update, so a few days later, on Wednesday, I called the recruiter. She said she'd let me know and mentioned they were interested but needed to sort out some internal things first. Then, Friday morning at 9 am, I got a call for a second interview on-site at 11 am. There was a scheduling mix-up, but the interview happened. It was 2 hours long, talking with several managers from different technical areas/products about various web-related architectures and technologies, with a lot of personality and 'what if' questions. I got the offer letter two weeks later.
- Can you define IP communications and explain its functionality?
- How would you troubleshoot a web connectivity issue?
- What steps would you take if a browser can't connect to a website?
