First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at C3 AI.
Software Engineer
So a manager from C3 AI hit me up on LinkedIn. First round was with the manager, a 30 min chat with basic questions about my projects, strengths, weaknesses, and work. Then rounds 2, 3, and 4 were coding rounds and system design, covering graph and dynamic programming stuff. The last round was back with the same manager, but this time we went deeper into my projects and past experience. After that, they did a reference check with at least 2 people from my previous job, the manager had a 30 min video call with them. The whole thing was pretty smooth, and since my grace period was almost up, they were fast with the process and H1B paperwork. Super cooperative and understanding. Overall, it seems like a good process.
- Coding question, graph related.
- Coding question, dynamic programming related.
Fullstack Software Engineer
So I applied for a Full Stack Software Developer job. First, I talked to the hiring manager in a behavioral interview to check out my skills. Then, I had two coding interviews scheduled and a system design interview. Since it was for a mid-level role, the system design interview also had coding questions, as the interviewer let me know. I missed the second coding round because of a network issue, but they rescheduled it. After that, they scheduled another coding round, the fourth one. In that round, I gave an optimized solution and answered the follow-up questions well. The interviewers seemed pretty happy during all the interviews. In the end though, I got an automated rejection email.
- How would you handle a package dependency problem?
- Can you solve the bracket validation problem?
Software Engineer
I had a brief interview with a forward deployed engineer from C3 AI. The interviewer was nice and easy to talk to, which made me feel comfortable. The interview was pretty typical, starting with a quick intro where I talked about myself a bit. Then, they asked some questions about my past experiences and technical projects. After that, I got to ask them questions.
- Can you describe a recent project you're proud of and walk me through it?
- What are your strengths in your professional career, and what areas do you think need improvement?
- What are your career aspirations, and what's your vision for the next few years?
