Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at C3 AI.
Fullstack Developer
The interview process had several scheduling issues, with multiple rounds being rescheduled. First up was a hiring manager round with behavioral questions. After that, there were two coding rounds and one system design round. The coding rounds featured LeetCode Medium and Hard problems, and the system design round involved designing a monitoring system.
- LC Walls and gates problem
- Design an In-Memory File System (LC 588)
- Tell me about yourself/past experiences.
Full Stack Developer
I applied for a full-stack developer role in Redwood City, CA. The first round was a 30-minute behavioral interview covering my goals and my strengths and weaknesses. The second round involved a LeetCode Medium problem, 279. Perfect Squares. I wasn't prepared for dynamic programming and couldn't write any code, but it was a good experience overall. I expect the next round to be another coding interview, followed by a System Design round if I pass the coding one. Hope this helps and good luck!
- Tell me about your goals, your strong points, and your weak points during a 30-minute behavioral interview.
- Could you solve LeetCode Medium 279, Perfect Squares, even though you weren't prepared for dynamic programming and couldn't write any code?
Full Stack Engineer
So first up was the hiring manager chat. Then we moved onto a coding challenge combined with some behavioral questions. That was followed by another round of coding and behavioral questions. The next step involved system design questions and more behavioral stuff. Finally, I had another interview with the hiring manager, which also included behavioral questions.
- Regarding behavioral questions, how do you approach prioritizing tasks?
