Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at C.H. Robinson.
Buyer
CHR is quick to let candidates know if they are moving forward in the process, regardless of whether they applied for full-time, part-time, or intern roles. My experience included a phone interview, an online personality assessment, an interview with two team leaders, a brief 10-15 minute job shadowing session with a current employee, and finally, a second interview with a branch manager. The entire process took about two weeks, followed by an offer call a week later.
- What makes you a suitable candidate for this role?
Supply Chain Intern
I applied online on the CH Robinson Careers website. About two weeks after submitting my application, a recruiter reached out via email to set up a phone interview.
- What are the top three qualities you seek in a potential employer?
Buyer
So first there was like a 10 min phone call, then another 30 min phone call after I did this personality test. Then it was like an onsite panel interview. They really like those competitive go-getter types and ask behavior questions like 'Tell me about a time...'
- Can you share an instance where you had to convey unfavorable information to someone?
- Tell me about a time you demonstrated a competitive, driven attitude.
