Machine Learning Engineer Intern
HR contacted me and set up an interview for the following week. The first part was a 60-minute tech interview. We spent the first 40 minutes on resume questions and behavioral questions, mostly about my past research. Then, for the last 20 minutes, I had to solve a LeetCode medium problem.
- Could you explain what GRPO is and what PPO is?
- How did you go about designing the reward in your project?
- Can you tell me more about your past research experiences?
Machine Learning Engineer
Applied online and heard back from HR for a screening interview within a week. That went well. HR sent over the next steps details in three days. Had to sign an NDA before the second round, which was a technical interview with a senior engineer. They gave me some coding tasks that were a bit tough, and I couldn't finish them. A survey to rate the interview experience was sent out after. It was professional and organized, but I didn't get the job. Got a rejection letter on the third day after the second interview.
- The HR person talked about the job and team during the screening.
- I had to sign an NDA before the technical interview started.
Machine Learning Engineer
There was a lot of miscommunication because of the language barrier. The interviewer could not understand my solution so I had to go through an example and show her. It started off with LinkedLists. She asked me to explain any one ML project from my resume. I went to explain my internship work. She asked me some basic ML questions.
- Could you reverse a linked list?
- How would you merge a vector of sorted linked lists into a single sorted linked list?
- Can you tell me about an ML project on your resume?
