Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at BYJU'S.
Operations Associate
It was a decent interview, with 2 rounds. First, they asked basic questions about me, my strengths, and my weaknesses. Then, there were a few simple logical reasoning questions. The second round was mostly about SWOT analysis and why I want to join Byju's. Both interviews were very short, only 5 minutes each.
- What are your strengths and weaknesses?
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- Please introduce yourself.
Business Operations Associate
I applied through my college as it was a campus hiring event. About a week later, I got an email from HR about the registered candidates and a pre-placement talk. Shortly after, we had a group discussion (GD) in Zoom, with 5 people per group. The topic was 'plastic ban'. The next day, I received an email listing the candidates selected from the GD, and I was one of them. The following day was my personal interview (PI).
- Hi Sayani, how are you?
- Since you cleared the GD, why do you think you were selected and others weren't?
- Could you please tell me about yourself, starting from your education, family background, and hobbies, all in detail?
Operations Associate
It's a 2 stage process. Stage 1 is with the hiring manager, and Stage 2 is an HR process. You will be given an area sales task (Pune / Delhi / Bengaluru). The worst part is, if you can't make a sale of 80k within 1 month, you will be asked to leave. But you will get the best training and help on how you will sell the product.
- What motivates you to pursue a career in sales?
- Tell me about a time you faced a challenging sales scenario and how you handled it.
- What makes you interested in working with Byju's?
