Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at BYJU'S.
Business Development Executive
The BDE interview process is moderate to difficult. They're looking for candidates with a passion for sales, given Byju's is an edutech company. The process involves a telephonic interview, a technical interview, an HR interview, and then an offer.
- Tell me about your past work experience.
Business Development Executive
This was a thorough interview with lots of sales-related questions. A lot of them were situation questions, asking how I'd handle difficult situations as an executive. They also asked about me, my background, and my education.
- What are your long-term career aspirations for the next five years?
Business Development Executive
So, Byju's, right? They're pretty big in edtech. Applying is the first step, just online. Then, HR checks you out. If you're good, you'll get a screening call or interview. Next, there's a test for aptitude and knowledge. Pass that, and you're in a group discussion, usually on current events, to see how you communicate and lead. After that, a personal interview with management to check your experience and if you fit in. Finally, a senior management interview to gauge your leadership and strategic thinking. If you nail all that, you get the offer with all the details. It's tough, so be ready to show your best!
- Tell me about how you find and identify potential clients or customers, and how you keep up with what's happening in the industry.
- How do you keep yourself updated on industry trends and changes?
