Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at BYD.
Analyst
The interview was quite technical and coherent. The recruiters were very cordial and polite, providing all the necessary information about the company. Overall, it was a great interview, and I recommend it to anyone contacted by the company.
- Could you detail your academic background?
- Please describe your professional experience.
- What relevant courses have you completed?
Analyst
It was a 3-round process: first an HR call, then a department manager interview, and finally a confirmation round. They mentioned they preferred candidates with 5 years of experience. The salary range they indicated didn't seem very high given all the expectations and the supposedly fast pace of work. They also mentioned you'd have to speak to Chinese colleagues a lot and indicated a preference for knowledge in 2 European languages and Chinese.
- Could you tell us about your experience in the car industry?
Senior Analyst
I applied and was called for an interview the same day. Respectful, fast, and simple. The professionals were kind and open to questions too, but there's a delay in feedback. Overall, it was a positive experience.
- Why are you interested in this position?
