First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Burr & Forman.
Intern
The pre-law internship interview was very conversational, not structured. We talked about your experience and what you'd bring to the team, plus what you hope to get out of the program. Expect to answer basic interview questions about yourself and your interest in law and the firm.
- Can you introduce yourself and explain your interest in law?
- Why are you interested in practicing law?
Associate
The interview process started with an onsite campus interview. Following that, I met with groups of attorneys, with each interaction lasting about 15-20 minutes. These interviews took place over a single day. During breaks between these interview groups, I had lunch with some of the attorneys. The process also included a background check.
- The attorneys were interested in hearing about my personal interests.
- The interviewers asked thoughtful questions regarding my undergraduate studies.
Paralegal
I went through several interviews for this role. First, there was an initial and a second interview. After those, I had to take various application tests, including ones for Microsoft and other word applications. There was also a background check. It was pretty intimidating and I didn't know how I was doing on the tests, as no score was given. I think I was timed too. But overall, the people were nice and it seemed like a good firm to work for.
- What is prompting your desire for a new job?
- Could you tell me about your strengths?
- And what about your weaknesses?
Billing Specialist
It was a 1 round interview, they told me I got the job but wanted to finish Q4 first before sending the offer. Never heard back from the recruiter after he said he'd reach out in January.
- Can you tell me about your billing processes?
- Could you explain month-to-month billing?
