Design Engineer
So the Burn and McDonald interview process begins with an online test, and if you pass that, you move on to an offline technical interview. After that, if you do well, there's a final offline HR interview. If you get through all that, they'll send you an offer letter. That's pretty much it.

Engineer
It was a recorded interview, the first round. They asked me simple questions about what I'm looking for in the role, and general info like my graduation details, where I live, any work experience I have, schools I went to, and if I've taken the FE exam.

Design Engineer
The interview started with an aptitude test, which included verbal and technical questions. There was also an English essay task, where I had to write about an industrial problem, or topics like global warming or educational importance. After that, a technical interview focused heavily on electrical machines (AC/DC machines, generators, transformers, their types, applications, and differences), switchgear basics (like MCBs and MCCBs), electrical panels (MCC, PDB, VFD, their uses and differences), basic electrical laws, and power systems (generation, distribution, transmission). They also asked about skin effect and Ferranti effect, including when and why they occur, and the application of electrical machines.
