First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Burlington Stores.
Employee Relations Manager
Got an email to connect. The recruiter was running late for our chat and was eating during our conversation. They asked me questions that weren't really about the job, more like personality stuff and traits. Then they talked about another role I might be good for, gave me the job description, and then I didn't hear back for weeks until they finally let me know someone else got the job.
- How would your friends describe you in five words?
- Are you currently interviewing for other positions?
Manager
Submitted a resume and got an interview quickly. Was expecting a lengthy interview with typical questions, but it was surprisingly finished in just an hour. The questions felt relevant to the job, and thankfully, none of those annoying, irrelevant ones were asked. My salary expectations were too high for the role, so it didn't work out. The managers were nice and down-to-earth. The store seemed relaxed, though a bit unclean. Office space was also really small.
- What motivates your interest in this position?
Manager
Great interview experience, with basic questions. It started with a phone interview and then an RVP interview. I was hired just 2 days later. The interview was very laid back. They asked a standard set of questions. It's best to be prepared with company knowledge and know your numbers. This was probably one of the easiest interviews I've had.
- Can you share an instance where you went above and beyond?
