First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Burlington Stores.
Stock Associate
I applied not too long ago and got a call yesterday that was pretty much a phone interview, but they just asked about my flexibility and availability. It was a group interview with those behavioral questions. It was a bit stressful answering questions in front of the other people interviewing. No one-on-one time, there were 4 of us total. I blanked on the last couple of questions, but I got a call the same day saying I got the job. I just needed to check my email for a background check, which I did. Once they get that back, I should get a call for orientation.
- Can you share an instance where you made an error?
- Describe a time you exceeded expectations to assist a customer.
- What are your working hours and days?
Associate
I put in my application on the company's website. I got an email to do an assessment right away, which I had to do first. Then, a day later, someone called me to set up an interview with the store manager. When I got there for the interview, the manager wasn't there, he was out to lunch, so I waited around for an hour. Eventually, another manager interviewed me. She was really nice! She offered me the job right after the interview and set up my orientation. Back home, I got an email to do a background check. The whole thing from applying to getting the job offer took 3 days.
- Can you describe a mistake you made and how you resolved it?
- Share an instance where you provided exceptional service to a customer.
Stock Associate
I showed up a little early, about 5 minutes before my scheduled time. The manager called me to the back and asked me a bunch of simple questions. It probably took around 15 minutes. The questions were mostly about whether I had any goals and if I had any experience that would fit the job.
- Can you introduce yourself?
