First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Burger King.
Analyst
I was told that many people were looking forward to meeting me and that they all needed my skills. When I arrived, about 30 minutes early as encouraged, I was left waiting for 40 minutes past the initial interview time before the first person came in. That person was rude, unprepared, arrogant, negative, and acted like a know-it-all. The other interviews went a bit better, and four of them tried to convince me to reject other offers and join them, saying I was a perfect fit for what they were looking for. After these long 4 hours of interviews, I went home and waited for feedback. The next week, I was informed that RBI would not be moving forward with my application because my skills don't match any open positions. I was furious because I was repeatedly told I was a perfect match and that my skills aligned with what the leads wanted, especially since they had my resume beforehand. Why call me if there are no positions? I put in a lot of effort to attend, for 4 hours, during finals week, which I mentioned, but they insisted on that date and time. This whole experience shows how broken corporate interviewing is: they don't value applicants' time.
- What is your motivation for wanting to work for RBI?

Started with a recruiter call, just talking about personality and background stuff. Then had two more calls with people from the team, mostly focused on fit and background, and they talked a lot about the company culture. After that, I did a 4-hour on-site interview with four team members and an HR manager. They asked a mix of fit and background questions, and a couple of case scenarios. I heard they'd decide in a week, but after two weeks I had to reach out. The recruiter said they were still deciding and would update me soon. Another two weeks went by, and I emailed and called again with no answer. Finally, after about a month and a half of waiting, I got an automated email saying I didn't get the position.
- Can you tell me about BKC's company culture?
Analyst
The process was great, with attention and respect for the candidate. The feedback was also fast, which is awesome. They contacted me in a week to schedule the interview for the next week, and the week after that, I already had a response. Congrats BK for the speed!
